Day 21 & 22

Day 21

Wednesday. July 3rd. Costco, Winn-Dixie. Credit card fights. Kira makes a scene. Cooking: green salad*, apple onion cake.

*I once ordered a green salad from the hospital cafeteria after having a baby.  They brought me a green jello with cool whip on top. It is a great joke in Florida now, and if asked to prepare a green salad there, they mean jello (jello, pudding, cool whip).

Day 22

Thursday, July 4rth.  Race around the neighborhood, water bottles, frozen gogurt, GARBAGE TRUCK!!  Breakfast at the church. Swimming.  Secret ingredient meal including green salad. Our secret ingredient was onion thanks to Seth's brilliant suggestion. Rebekah made an apple onion upside down cake. There were onions for hamburgers and onion cheeseball.  Daniel whined about the onions, Seth oozed joy over them.  It rained all evening so we gave up on fireworks. After the boys were asleep, the rain stopped. We listened to the boom of fireworks every other day.
