Valentine's memory

Lily was up late Monday night making her Valentines. She set her clothes out just before bed. Red pants, red shirt, red socks, red hair band and clip. All this was covered by her pink coat smothered in hearts. She is driven by themes.John loved Valentine's Day at school. He put his valentines together last week and spent the next four days counting and stickering them. He came home with a load of candy which he quickly distributed throughout the family. Today he asked for some of it back. Lest we think Rebekah had a boring Valentine's Day, rest assured, she did not. She decorated cookies made by her (and me). We delivered them and invited a friend to play the next day. Some of her good friends gave her valentines too. We only partially skipped school work to watch a movie of her choice. She spent a good deal of time with her nose in this book, Dragon Spear by Jessica Day George. She loved the trilogy. I think she passed most of the day happily, though I am sure it pings a bit.
If candy was left out, or chocolate with in reach, Adam quickly corrected the situation. I found a small bowl of chocolates, unwrapped with a single bite out of each. Since his hands were in it and his face looked like this, I knew who the culprit was.
It's blurry, but that is how Sam was all day. Always on the move, except during the movie of course. He was all smiles and sweetness all day.
This is not a Valentine's picture. A few weeks ago, we made Seth a snack box. Everyone wrote encouraging messages to him and we filled it with snacks and chunky soups to see him through the long days. What else can we do but feed him and not beg him to come home.
Finally, it's Adam. The rule is "food in the kitchen." Maybe he was just trying to leave a trail to his bedroom, 'cause there was a big pile of crumbs there too. Caught red handed. Cute baby.
