Our school hosted a fund raising walk-a-thon. The kids ran or walked for a set amount of time. My kindergartner ran 28 laps in 30 minutes (3.5 miles). He tied with another kindergartner for the longest distance in his grade. The prize was a limo ride to an old fashioned ice cream shop. I was just proud of him for running the entire time without stopping.
